Dreams is still flying high in the Australian music charts 16 weeks after its debut.

But Reigen, the uncredited singer on the dance cover of the Fleetwood Mac classic, produced by Jolyon Petch, says she feels ‘so invisible and powerless’ after alleging she was denied a rightful credit on the song.

In a post made during Wednesday’s ARIA Awards, the 33-year-old singer also claimed to have not been invited to the show despite Dreams having been nominated for Best Dance Release.

Upset: Reigen, the uncredited singer on the dance cover Dreams, says she feels ‘so invisible and powerless’ after alleging she was denied a rightful credit on the song

Posting a photo of her attending a previous ARIA Awards show, the singer – whose full name is Reigan Derry, wrote ‘I should be so excited and proud, but I feel so invisible and powerless.’

‘I should be celebrating my only ARIA nomination in my whole life of singing, except the ‘artist’ Jolyon Petch refuses to credit me.’

‘It has now been more than 2 months since I asked Jolyon to acknowledge me and credit me on a song that is solely sung by me.’

Tit for tat: Petch refuted the allegations and provided a text exchange with Reigan as evidence that she turned down a credit on the track. However Reigan subsequently provided her own, allegedly contrary screen grabs of the conversation (above)

‘During a phone conversation before the session, I requested a modest 10 per cent master, which Jolyon agreed to,’ she claimed in her lengthy Instagram post about her dealings with the producer.

‘Following this verbal agreement, I then sent him the stems with comped lead vocals and backing vocals within 24hours and never heard about the track again. Without me having invoiced for the work, Jolyon deposited $300 directly into my bank account.’

Jolyon then allegedly refused to give Reigan the 10 per cent master ‘we had verbally agreed upon’.

Reigan also claimed that Jolyon refused to send her the backing track so she could perform the song at festivals.

However Jolyon refuted the allegations and provided a text exchange with Reigan as evidence that she turned down a credit on the track.

‘Also I should let you know! My indie/folk stuff is coming out so I’ll be using Reigan for all that stuff and Red London for everything else aka holding on,’ Reigan wrote during their exchange.

‘If you’d like you don’t have to put my name as a feature and just have it as Jolyon.’

Talent: Reigan first rose to prominence after placing eleventh on the fourth season of Australian Idol in 2006

Reigan has since shared her own screenshots of the conversation, along with claims that the exchange dates back to March 2020 and is actually about another song entirely.

Daily Mail Australia have reached out to TMRW Music Group and Reigan for comment.

Dreams peaked at number 16 on the ARIA Charts, and reached top spot on the ARIA Club Charts.
